Coffee=Community

What do books and a delicious cup'o'joe have in common? They bring people together.  At any given moment, bookstores and coffee shops are filled with people going about their day. But they are connected by a single thread; they have a cool place to unwind or study.  Whether one's there to socialize with old pals or just pick up a good novel, a cafe or bookstore is the place to be.  Perhaps that is why Staten Island has an aura of isolation; maybe if there were more "Mom&Pop" coffee shops or Starbucks around, the community would flourish and Staten Island would have a bit of that small-town charm in the big city.
